DARIO FRANCHITTI WINS AT CHICAGOLAND
JOLIET, IL - "We see how quickly these things can change, especially on these one and a half mile tracks," Franchitti said. "We're just going to keep going. It would have been easy to give up halfway through the race there when we were running 10th or whatever. I've been on the receiving end of getting beaten from them sometimes when Team Penske managed to pull things out of seemingly nowhere, so it was nice to be on the end of actually winning the race."Canadian Alex Tagliani finished 25th. in his FAZZT Race Team Honda powered Dallara.

MID-OHIO SPORTS CAR COURSE
LEXINGTON, OH, AUGUST 8, 2010
DARIO FRANCHITTI GETS WIN
LEXINGTON, Ohio - "Quite a lot of things running through my head right now, getting to that quarter century, doing it here at Mid-Ohio, a place I found almost every way to lose a race," said Franchitti, who started second and recorded his second victory of the season. "Twelve years ago it was my first pole here. It's very satisfying.""I think the key to the race, obviously, was the Target car was very fast. I drove every lap like it was a qualifying lap today, whether I was behind Will or ahead of Will. But the key was that first pit stop by the Target boys to get me out ahead, especially a 35 foot pit box. It's the tightest we run. In practice, we couldn't get the thing out of the box with Will parked in his or get it in properly. But when the race win was on the line, it didn't seem quite as difficult and managed to pass him. I think that was the key today, because we were incredibly evenly matched on the track."
Canadian Alex Tagliani finished 4th. in his FAZZT Race Team Honda powered Dallara.

HONDA INDY EDMONTON
EDMONTON, ALBERTA, JULY 25, 2010
SCOTT DIXON GETS WIN
EDMONTON, Alberta - Scott Dixon won after Helio Castroneves got black flagged for blocking at the end of the race. Castroneves crossed the finish line first, but ended up in 10th. place."Brian always says that if you're blocking going into any corner and you are on the right side - especially into Turn 1, you're going to get a penalty," said Dixon, who won for the second time this season. "We get told every week, so you could see something was going to happen.Obviously, Will had a pretty good run. The only way from stopping him was blocking. So if that's what you call it, yeah, that's blocking."
"All in all, not what I expected to happen at the end. In some ways, I knew those two, Will and Helio, were fighting pretty hard. You could see that the first time Helio passed Will. But to go that far to the right I think in Turn 1, I just continued on with the regular line where it's nice and clean and figured or hoped that they picked up a lot of debris and were going to make it tough through 1 and 2. That's kind of what happened. Pretty strange to not lead a lap and actually win the race."
Canadians Paul Tracy in his KV Racing Technology Racing machine finished 6th, and Alex Tagliani finished 23rd. in his FAZZT Race Team Honda powered Dallara.

WILL POWER GETS 4TH WIN OF SEASON
TORONTO, ONTARIO - "We worked really hard and this is the end result," said Power, who started on the front row for the seventh time and won for the fourth this season (two sets of back to back races). "I knew just from the marbles and the pick up that the restart was going to be really slippery. I saw (Wilson) make a mistake coming off the straight so I got a run on him and pulled it off. I would say it was a calculated but risky move to pass him on the outside because I wasn't sure I'd make it out the other side.""It was close, but sometimes you have to do that in racing if you want to win, and that's what happened. It was a key to winning the race." added Power

I had a great car. I have to thank my teammates, too. Marco (Andretti) and Ryan (Hunter-Reay) came over after I made a mistake during qualifying and I was pretty down. They talked to me for 45 minutes and cheered me up. Marco (led 12 laps early, finished 15th) gave me a little bit of his setup and Ryan (started 12th, finished eighth) actually helped me with the setup, putting it together for today. THE INDY GRAND PRIX OF ALABAMA
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA(Round 3/ April 11, 2010)
HELIO CASTRONEVES WINS IN BIRMINGHAM
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Team Venom Energy race strategist Kyle Moyer was "looking for a yellow" to aid race leader Marco Andretti. It came, but too late to help the Andretti Autosport driver from seeing the dual checkers for the second time in his IZOD IndyCar Series career.Instead, the No. 26 car had to pit for a 3.3 second splash fuel on Lap 82 of 90, giving the lead to Team Penske's Helio Castroneves.
That's all it took in a race full of fuel strategy and excitement - with all 25 cars running at the finish for the first time in IZOD IndyCar Series history, only two brief full course cautions breaking up the lap dashes and a crowd double that of any event previously held at Barber Motorsports Park (53,555; three day total of 84,126) cheering on every lap.
Canadian Alex Tagliani finished 10th in his FAZZT Race Team machine.

Dearest fellow IndyCar fans (as well as anyone who arrived here via Blogger’s “Next blog>>” feature),

Like many IndyCar fans the first time I ever heard Bertrand Baguette’s name was when it was preceded by the phrase “

"We need to blow up IRL...It needs to be (known as) IndyCar. To the purist, (IRL) is a negative acronym. We need to get away from using it... (we need) some sort of press statement to show that (IRL) is dead. We need to let people understand we're trying to change." -
The Kansas City Star has what would normally be considered a “puff piece” on Dan Wheldon, who won the IndyCar series event at Kansas Speedway in ‘07 and ’08.
