CARBONE GETS END OF SEASON VICTORY
"It was a tough race," said Carbone,"We were running so close all race, and I was trying to be as close as possible to him so we can break away from the group, but the draft here is so big that we didn't manage to do that. The last lap I knew I had to get in there. I went on the outside, and I think I caught his tire."He added, "It was a shame because I wanted the team to be top three. But it's a boost. It's a payoff for the hard work we did this season, and this goes to (team manager) Chris Griffis (who died) in September."

STEFAN WILSON WINS RACE - JOSEF NEWGARDEN CLINCHES TITLE
"It was just so amazing," said Wilson, who passed Newgarden for the lead for good on Lap 36. "It was just an awesome weekend, earning my first pole award, and winning the race. I have to thank my new partner Citizenre for making this race weekend possible for me.Newgarden and I fought for quite a few laps. I'm quite glad we had that battle because it took up the majority of the race; better than just having a lonely race out front. It was fun to race side-by-side, not just lead from the front and go out and win, but to drop back into second and get back by him."

STEFAN WILSON GETS 1ST VICTORY
In Wilson's 24th Indy Lights race , he led a 1-2 Andretti Autosport sweep on the Streets of Toronto."It's really a monkey off my back," Wilson said. "We were pushing Estaban hard those first five laps. The car was fast; I'm confident we would have been able to pass him even if he didn't make that mistake. From that point on, it was just about concentrating on hitting marks and getting some clean, quick lap times."
He added, "I love this circuit and city, so the 25th anniversary race is a really special win for me. We're still a long way out for the championship. Right now, it's about getting race wins."

"It felt so good I could go anywhere on the track, and that's just a tribute to the team. I was so disappointed that we didn't qualify a little bit better. Great job by the Sam Schmidt Motorsports guys and everyone else that supports us."Canadian driver David Ostella finished 9th., two laps down.

Dearest fellow IndyCar fans (as well as anyone who arrived here via Blogger’s “Next blog>>” feature),

Like many IndyCar fans the first time I ever heard Bertrand Baguette’s name was when it was preceded by the phrase “

"We need to blow up IRL...It needs to be (known as) IndyCar. To the purist, (IRL) is a negative acronym. We need to get away from using it... (we need) some sort of press statement to show that (IRL) is dead. We need to let people understand we're trying to change." -
The Kansas City Star has what would normally be considered a “puff piece” on Dan Wheldon, who won the IndyCar series event at Kansas Speedway in ‘07 and ’08. And while “puff pieces” are normally designed for people who don’t follow racing, this one might be telling something to those of us who actually know a bit about Dan’s career.
By now you've probably heard that yesterday the IZOD IndyCar Series has decided to:
