A new and exciting Ontario Regional road race series for 2010
ONTARIO GT CHALLENGE SERIES
The GT Challenge is a new official CASC-OR Racing series for 2010. The GT Challenge Series is an eight race CASC series comprised of seven 1 hour races and one 3 hour race with designated pit stops.
During the 1 hour races, one mandatory stop of 1 minute duration is required between the 20 and 40 minutes window in the race. The stop is for competition only, not fueling. A driver change can be made during the stop.
This is made for safety reasons and to provide a level playing field for all. Drivers reentering the race in new positions, adds a new element of excitement.
Car and driver eligibility are the same as the GT Sprint rules with the benefit of codrivers being able to share equal points for a race and the championship.
