It is powered by an Audi 1.8 litre turbo engine with 400bhp on standard boost and 450bhp on overboost.
Canadian "Overall Canadian Racer of the Year" 2009 award winner Robert Wickens placed 2nd overall in the series in 2009.

F2 CHAMP 2009
He also added:"I'm sorry for not spraying champagne on the podium but I lost a racing idol last week and two weeks ago there was a massive accident as well so I didn't feel like spraying champagne."
"I had a tricky get away from the start, Alex got past at the first chicane but on the next lap I made my move and overtook him and then I drove it safely home.
"I've done a lot of things differently starting with the preparation for the weekend itself and then a different approach to the whole weekend and it looks like it paid off."
"The race itself was quite interesting, my start was not so good and Ramon managed to pass me in the first chicane. After that I felt I could be a little bit quicker maybe and tried to get with him in the first couple of laps. As soon as I had a chance I tried to get my nose inside and tried to pass him. Finally I managed and he was very fair in that spot, and it could have ended another way for sure but obviously we are talking about a fair guy and a true racer so that was a great battle between us.
"For me it was just amazing. It was the aim to win the championship. Before the season you say many things and then you have to prove it on the track, that's the main thing in racing so finally we did it and I cannot say how I feel, I'm so happy.
"It's just amazing for me, I'm very happy. I cannot say anything else. All I can say is that once more we did a good job, the car was perfect and I have to send my congratulations to the whole F2 team because obviously they are doing a great job. From the inside you can see properly what's going on so I have to send my congratulations to these guys because they are pushing very hard and they are allowing us to do proper racing.
"I have to think about this (F1 test), but we've got another race in Barcelona so I will think about this for sure. Anyway I managed to win this prize so I will try to prepare myself as good as I can. I had the luck in the past to get some Formula One tests. Maybe that could help me but of course everything changed this year so it will be interesting to learn all the new parts that the Formula One car has and try to give the best I can and try to enjoy the day. I don't know what's going to happen for 2012, we will see.
"We will be celebrating for sure! We are in Italy so to win the championship here is obviously a dream come true and for sure I will party tonight!"
The temperature was quite high outside and to keep your concentration in the high temperature is very tough especially when you're on your own, you must keep your focus and I think I managed it ok."
After the race Bratt said: "It feels like a win that's long overdue. The conditions weren't too bad as long as you kept the car online but tricky if you didn't put the car in the right place. I got a good start and went down the outside on the brakes into the first corner and made up loads of time on the brakes; then I just nailed it through Eau Rouge. I'm feeling confident for tomorrow's race as I've been feeling confident all weekend."
After the race Bortolotti said: "I got a good start and I knew it was going to be very tight going into La Source. I tried to go for the inside but Will closed the door so I had to go around the outside which worked out ok and managed to go through Eau Rouge leading the race. After that I was pushing quite a lot but still had to defend my position on the first couple of laps. Then I tried to get my rhythm and push as much as I can and open up a gap."
Christopher Zanella said after the race:"To win the race was a great feeling for me and unbelievable given I had a really bad start. I dropped down to fourth and tried to stay with the others, then I tried to close the gap, lap by lap, and I was trying to find the best line. Then I overtook one after the other and that was really good. It was a hard race and especially at the end when you're alone and you start to have some thoughts and that's very dangerous."
Will Bratt came in 5.337 seconds behind and Miki Monras finished 3rd, 6.929 seconds behind the leader.
Mirko Bortolotti said tghis after the race:"It wasn't easy! First of all I made a good start, and the first lap was actually very good. I managed to get a gap between me and second, and after that I think they were starting to get busy behind me and that was my chance to get away a bit, and that's what I did. Afterwards I had five seconds advantage I think, so I just tried to look after my tires.
Then added : "I'm very happy with the result, which is very good for us - the first race weekend and now a pole position and a race win, so I'm very happy. After the start I was leading the race and I had fresh tyres, so that was my chance to pull away. I think we had a good strategy in qualifying, it worked well, but we have to say that on old tyres we have been running very well throughout the weekend, so I knew our race pace was good."
"First of all, I knew I had to make a good start if I wanted to win the race. Yesterday it was not the case and I struggled a little bit; today it was better, a lot easier. I saw they were fighting a little bit behind on the first lap so I managed to pull a little gap, and after that I pushed and pushed. I knew it was important to get some good laps early on and build a gap until the end and that's what I did."said Miki Monras after the race.
He added "We knew we were going to fight for the win at least - testing showed us we were there, and a podium would have been okay but a win is even better! The shoulder is a little bit tough: when you are alone you start to think about things and you start to feel the pain."

Bortolotti said:"I'm very happy with that performance. The start was good and I just tried to get into my rhythm. It's very difficult to overtake here, so I knew that as long as I didn't make a mistake I should be able to take the win. I'm happy with that and I think we had good pace throughout the weekend and obviously the new tyres helped me a lot this race, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow now."RACE RESULTS BARCELONA, SPAIN - RACE 1 - OCTOBER 29, 2011

MIRKO BORTOLOTTI WINS RACE 2 AND CHAMPIONSHIP
Mirko Bortolotti said after the race: "I knew it was going to be decided on the start but my start was very bad. I'm disappointed about that, but I managed to brake really late into Turn 1 and passed Ramon on the outside, which is not easy! That was the key for this win as once you get your position, it's difficult for the guy behind to get a run to overtake you, so I knew it was going to be very important to be first at the end of the first lap. I wanted to win this race because I wanted to make it eight as I said yesterday, so it's eight Formula Two wins, I'm very proud about this and winning the last two races in Formula Two is fantastic and that's my way to say goodbye to all these people I had the pleasure to work with these two seasons, so I'm delighted and I'm very happy."RACE RESULTS BARCELONA, SPAIN - RACE 2 - OCTOBER 30, 2011

GREAT BRITAIN - JULY 22-24, 2011JACK CLARKE WINS RACE 1 AT BRANDS HATCH
"It's perfect, you cant really write that. I haven't really been knocking on the door of a win yet this season, so to come here and smash it is a good thing. It's a big deal for me because I always go on about my preseason and was expecting to have some better results. Nuerburgring was a confidence boost to be on the podium and I'm feeling on top of it right now, and I suppose proved that today! They didn't give me much room off the start, and I don't blame them, because I've been getting good starts all season and the gap was just about big enough. My step father Julian Bailey won his first Formula 3000 race with that move, so he taught me well."said Clarke after the race.RACE RESULTS BRANDS HATCH RACE 1 - JULY 23, 2011
