Barons' British Heritage sale at Sandown Park 2010
Description:
The 2010 British Heritage sale will offer some outstanding motorcars. At the time these include three Jaguar XK's, all of which are superb specimens. They range from the 1953 120 Roadster, which can only be described as being in mint condition, to a pair of 150 open cars. The 150SE DHC is an extremely rare, fully restored, automatic and the 150 Roadster has been the subject of a nut & bolt rebuild, plus upgrades by Vicarage. This car is truly stunning. Other interesting consignments are the actual MK1 Cortina Lotus used by Corgi, to create their model, plus a sample of the model, in the original box, a rare Daimler Century Roadster, a 1948 Rover 12 Tourer with just 16,000 miles on the clock and a lovely example of the Mercedes 190SL, in the classic and collectors section. We are currently dealing with a range of clients with some very interesting motorcars, so keep logging on to keep abreast of developments over the next month.

The Beaujolais Run 2010
Description:
The Beaujolais Run ® began in 1972 when Sunday Times journalist Alan Hall threw down the gauntlet to Fleet Street to "Bring Back the Beaujolais". At that time the object of the exercise was speed and this was brought to an end by the RAF, whom took up the challenge in a Harrier and broke all records! In 2006, by kind permission by Lord March, The Beaujolais Run ® made its spiritual home at Goodwood. In the same year, the event became a five day event showcasing the best the UK and France has to offer. For 2009 The Beaujolais Run ® hit Brooklands, Reims and the Beaujolais region. Starting from the famous Brooklands banking the 'Run then halted in Reims for a reception at Champagne Taittinger. The following day saw the navigational shoot out at the heart of the event en route to the release of the Beaujolais. A black tie prize giving dinner awaited competitors on Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger's private estate, with some very special enetertainment, on the return leg. The Beaujolais Run ® has evolved to become a navigational shoot out over a cryptic checkpoint course in deepest Burgundy. This format ensures Austin and Aston, Jaguar and Jalpa and Porsche and Prius can compete on a level playing field. Maps, Sat Nav and Laptops are all acceptable modes of navigation on the event. Teams compete for the honour of achieving P1 on the grid the following year (highest fundraising team) and P2, the team that covers the shortest distance on the navigational trial. The Beaujolais Run ® welcomes a variety of metal; we do not actively favour any particular marque. Although we choose a celebrated marque each year, you do not have to drive that marque to enter. The Beaujolais Run ® aims to provide "money can't buy experiences", which might include unique venues, people, experiences or a combination of all of the above.
